Abstract
Details the relevant economics of the electricity and district heating sector in the GreenRE-FORM model, as implemented on the Climate Outlook 2025 (KF25) data. We will refer to the model as the “energy module/system” along the way (shorter). The model represents every Danish generating plant individually, together with the twelve foreign price areas Denmark trades with, and solves for hourly electricity and district heat prices in each year from 2020 to 2050 as the equilibrium of a square system of first-order conditions. Sections 2–6 set out the economics plant type by plant type and then close the model; Section 8 describes how the raw data are aggregated into the version that is solved; Section 9 the solution procedure; Section 10 what the solved baseline looks like and how it compares with the projection it is built from. Appendix A maps every symbol used here to its name in the GAMS implementation. Section 1.3 describes what is distributed with the model and what a user can and cannot reproduce from it.
